At this writing all is quiet on the house sitting front, school has begun, committees
are forming at local churches, art leagues, yoga classes are in full swing and all
calenders for entertainment and panels of various organizations are settling in and
setting in motion the season’s events.
For myself? I’ve settled back into my art sketching favored pets of friends, making ready for a September art show, begun cooking for my daughters family, making a to-do list for the first Art League meeting, a list of baked goods for the Christmas bake sale and spending at least one day a week on my quilting
projects that have waited many long, not months, but years for my attention. No particular goal for completion here just another extension of my art that is calming and gratifying with
thoughts of talented quilters who befriended me and taught me what I know.
My daughter’s Mother-in-law is a marvelous quilter, has five, yes five, machines all at the ready to
sew, embroider designs, quilt all at the touch of a button. Such beauty in all she creates.
Where ever you are what ever you’ve chosen to fill the upcoming busy days remember to take little
moments to recharge you, you’ll be happier that you did.
With warm thoughts for all,
The House Sitter
